The film describes the last days of the most mysterious character in Russian history Grigori Rasputin. The Russian Empire is on the verge of collapse. The army is losing battles again and again. The ruble is falling in price. However, the nobility of St. Petersburg is not concerned at all about those things. The capital is in a feverish state.
